Gibbs proposing that the Big 3 have the means to do this and that it's time to take the leap and start making these cars in America, for Americans. (for model year 2011)

Framing this as a "we need to reduce our dependence on foreign oil" issue. Needs to start today.

Answer-he pointed out that he ran on certain tax cuts (for the middle class), Repubs. voiced their displeasure with his plan, he reminded them that he won, and everyone laughed. It was a light-hearted moment-not "cowboy diplomacy." Good answer.
