Daily disappearance of 20,000 jobs; on the verge of collapse? People think Obama can fix it.

Why does the daily disappearance of 20,000 jobs from the American economy not feel like we're on the verge of collapse? Because people think Obama can fix it.

The most recent Gallup Poll reports that 68 percent of Americans approve of Obama's job performance so far. Only John F. Kennedy's 72 percent in 1961 was higher.

He is his own confidence stimulus package.

1. Obama told everyone he can't fix it.
He says constantly that he and government can't do it alone.

What's your basis for saying that people believe Obama can fix it? Just because he has high approval ratings doesn't mean people think he's going to wave a magic wand and make it all better.

2. I'm just not sure we know how "it" will be defined next week.
The "It" Bush left us is still evolving.

3. This economic disaster is something we all expected
Over the last several years we all watched and fully expected the collapse. A result of the bu$h policies of cut taxes and spend us into debt. It had to come and we have all been staring that freight trains head lights for several years.

What amazes me is that little shit bu$h fucked it so bad but the real collapse was timed so well so that he could walk away leaving another one of his long line of cluster fucks. He walks away leaving us in the ashes.

5. Unfortunately there are people out there who believe Obama can fix it by himself
Because they don't listen. They hear what they want to hear. They don't pay attention when Obama says we have to work together as a nation. They mentally toss it aside and pretend they didn't hear that part. And so, a year from now, when our economy is still not working, they will blame Obama. The GOP is counting on this. They, perhaps more than anyone, know how short American attention spans are, and they will be biding their time, waiting for the first sign of public impatience towards Obama, and that's when they will pounce. The GOP knows it's useless to give people hope, because when you do that, then you have to actually live up to it. They think it's better to lie to the American public, making them believe everything is okay, that way they, the government, can do whatever it wants.
