2. We cross-posted....
See my post on Sanjay Gupta and John Conyers not liking him for the post of Surgeon General. I used the link Conyers sent and suggested Dean for the post....hope something comes out of yours or mine...

3. There should be efforts to recruit him for all sorts of things.
Howard "50-State Strategy" Dean made Barck Obama's victory possible.

I really hate how everyone in power now seems interested only in kicking him to the curb. They owe him EVERYTHING. He singlehandedly revitalized our party starting in 2005. And he started getting results for us in the very next election cycle. And scarcely anyone gives him the credit he deserves.

Can't figure this one out. It makes no sense. I think he's been treated abominably by nearly EVERYONE. Frankly, that includes President Obama. I'm just stunned that Howard Dean hasn't been invited to the White House, and how they hustled Tim Kaine into power without even having Dean there for the big transition event. Gave him the backs of their hands when they all won by standing on his shoulders.

He deserves a LOT more respect AND GRATITUDE than that.

Just can't figure this out. What on earth are they thinking?????????

10. Howard Dean, like most visionaries will not be appreciated in his time...
Because frankly he is somewhat eccentric and doesn't conform to our standards of how we think politicians should act. Some people will debate the merits of the 50 state strategy and that's something you can debate all day long. But IMO that wasn't Dean's great accomplishment. Dean's great accomplishment was pioneering the use of Web 2.0 and internet fundraising. Every future candidate has Howard Dean to thank for this, not just Barack Obama (although he has had the most successful operation based on Dean's work to date). Any historian worth his salt who writes about the process of campaigns and elections in the United States will give Howard Dean his due. But it will take time for that to happen.

13. I don't understand it, either. Dean is singularly responsible for the
50-state strategy, but Rahm Emmanuel seemed to get most of the credit, undeservedly.

7. I was totally thinking that today.
If Richardson had to step down, and Daschle did not let Obama know of his tax issue, then he should step down, and Dean should step in.

8. I have read that Rahm Emmanuel
is on probation....At the time he was chosen for chief of staff..I thought OOOH What if he is fired and then is just out of a job. Perfect. then I read that Howard Dean had been interested in chief of staff. Now that would be even more perfect. Rahm doesn't like Dean.Excuse for going on and on...But I like Howard Dean so much. I am new . Hi

11. I'm surprised to hear that Rahm is on probation
since Obama had to do a lot of lobbying to get him on-board. Rahm was perfectly content to stay in the House and possibly become Pelosi's successor in the future.
