...as their Japanese counterparts? How about having American CEOs earn the same wage as their Japanese counterparts? Hmmmm. Where's the outrage here?

A corporate executive backlash is necessary to bring these sticking filthy obscenely rich CEOs, executive management and boards of directors bastards and bitches back to reality; the day of fleecing America and the rest of the world are over!!

5. can we have Japan's national health insurance?
and their generous vacation?

Note that Americans put in more hours each year on the job than their Japanese counterparts, in large part because of more generous Japanese vacations.

6. It did marginally in areas close to the US border, but in the process...
Our agriculture subsidies destroyed the Mexican corn industry. Mexico has enormous internal problems that can only be solved by the Mexican people. Our trading with them doesn't fix their problems. That's why I laugh when the GOP talks about how vital to "National Security" a Colombian free trade agreement is. There are good reasons to trade with Colombia and good reasons to trade with Mexico but the bullshit that right wingers use to sell "free trade" amazes me.

18. Actually, the people are quite different - and far less racist
than in, say, Boston.

However, the idiots we get to choose from as our representatives haven't changed much in the past 200 years.

14. I don't think americans have issues with working for a wage, it's FINDING the job that's the problem
That's what the GOP and the fat cat CEO's don't get. If they stopped being greedy and ponied up some of their massive salary to employee more workers in their company, there wouldn't be this problem.

19. American CEO's would NEVER accept the wages of foreign CEO's
"In 2004, the average American CEO was paid $10 million, as reported in The Wall Street Journal’s annual analysis of the 350 largest public companies (WSJ 2005). This is a huge 14.5 percent increase over the annual CEO compensation in 2003. American CEO pay currently dwarfs foreign CEO pay. German CEOs make 13 times more than the average German manufacturing employee an in Japan, the CEO-to-worker pay ratio is just 11-to-1 (Greenfield 1999)."

No way, no how......
