Limbaugh: "I have only four words- 'I Want him to Fail.'" (That's 5 words, Limbaugh, but okay)
Edited on Mon Feb-02-09 10:56 AM by Ian David
Limbaugh complains that the media never consults him and just takes him out of context.

A newspaper called and asked him for a 400 word editorial on his hopes for PRESIDENT Obama.

Limbaugh says he doesn't need 400 words. Limbaugh says, "I only have four words-- 'I hope that he fails.'"

And then Limbaugh complains the media is taking him out of context and not asking him what he really thinks.

Why? Because Obama told House Republicans they couldn't "just listen to Rush Limbaugh and get things done." That's it. That's all Obama said. Oh, and wait til you hear the convoluded path Limbaugh takes to reach his Nixonian comparison.

3. I don't know why people listen to this filth! Don't they know that when they
listen to this fuckwad, to Sean, to Bill, to Beck, to Savage and others, that they are contributing to their ratings? They need to turn off the fucking television; don't watch that trash!!

8. Never overestimate the intelligence of the American people
or underestimate the stupidity of them (whichever way you want to put it)

9. Well, I hear a lot of them repeating everything they hear on these shows.
I wonder if the average American has the ability to think critically and to question anything.

As Randi Rhodes often says, "if it didn't happen on the T.V., it didn't happen!" :(

12. Randi's expiration date is long gone...
She is becoming worthless as she becomes so self-absorbed.

Seems to me keeping an eye (or ear) on our enemies is extremely important. It's one of the oldest and the most important rules of battle.

11. Not so... unless you listen on cable or if you are a Nielson family...
Otherwise, it makes a hell of a lot of sense to listen to the enemy. Not listening is asking to be ingnorant of someone who can hurt our side.

5. SOMEBODY has to keep track of his lies and call him out on them
Preferably someone who gets more than adequate compensation for the hazards of the job :-)

10. Only if you are a Nielson family...
Otherwise, the smartest thing a person can do is study their enemies and adversaries.

Personally, I THANK my fellow DUers for listening, and reporting back, so I don't have to!

Ignorance is NOT bliss.

13. Didn't GWB have trouble with that, too?
Maybe the reason Pubbies always screw up the economy is because they really just can't count.

16. turn it around.
limbaugh says he wants obama to fail. but what he is really saying is that he wants america to fail. he wants people to keep losing their jobs. he wants people to be homeless. he wants higher unemployment. he wants things to keep getting worse. i think people should be framing it in that way. when he says he wants obama to fail, he is saying he wants america to fail. and that is not the american way, is it?

17. Well, if he took out "to", he'd have four words:
"I want to fail."

I want the same thing for you, Rushbo.

The same thing.
