up the potential opposition of the military command to Obama's desire to pull out of Iraq sooner rather than further entrenching ourselves.

16. I actually feel better about the Daschle pick after hearing

what Gibbs had to say. It leads me to believe that President Obama chose Daschle for some specific and important reasons.

why Obama wanted Daschle when his name first surfaced and it made sense to me. The thinking is Daschle will be able to navigate the Health Bill through Congress the best among other reasons, no doubt.

.... reporter asked if the POTUS had reached out to Steel or if the new RNC chair had called the White House to which Gibbs curtly said, "I'd direct him to the DNC." and quickly called on the next reporter as if to say, "he is not worthy of our attention."

but honestly, I doubt that the "middle America" theory with him is on target...he'll probably be confirmed whether we like it or not. Chuck Todd also said that "working women want to see Sarah Palin succeed." Right, Chucky. Does Todd just throw this stuff out there out of his ass?
