2. of course I agree
but I'm not sure if it's gonna happen, and I'm sure that DU will work itself into a fucking frenzy when it's not him. Here's to hoping though.

4. Perhaps it's time for a little old fashioned DU-activism in this regard?
Who do we call and write?

5. Sorry, Obama will move to the right on this nomination now
It happens every time in every presidency. IF a name has to be withdrawn for a spot, the next name is always further into the direction of the opposition.

Basically, universal healthcare is now dead.

8. AGREED! I want Dr. Dean! Besides, his strategy basically won
Obama the election.

It's time he got his back scratched.

10. I would LOVE Dr. Dean, BUT for whatever reasons, other Senators
never liked him...even the Dems! For THAT reason, I think he would have an impossible task of pushing through a new HC plan. Yea, I know, I hate it too, but politics is deeply involved in getting any bills through Congress. Look what happened when Hillary tried to push her plan. They didn't like her, and weren't too sure they liked Bill either, so her efforts crashed & burned!

13. Dean would be my pick, but Hillary should have been the first choice as head of HHS . . .
IMHO, she's much better suited to that position - as opposed to the SoS position - given her vast healthcare experience.
