Obama, what a kill joy

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/daschle_taxes

WASHINGTON – President Barack Obama is taking responsibility for mistakes in the handling of the tax controversy that led to Tom Daschle's withdrawal as President Barack Obama's nominee to be health and human services secretary, saying: "I screwed up."

The president did a series of back-to-back television interviews in which the subject of failed nominees was a top subject.

Obama told NBC "I'm frustrated with myself" for unintentionally sending a message that there are "two sets of rules" for paying taxes, "one for prominent people and one for ordinary folks."

"I take responsibility for this mistake," he told Fox News.

No prevaricating explanations, no mumble jumble syntax deficient offerings providing us historical context and obtuse rationalizations?

Man this guy is just going to suck up all the fun out of President bashing.

5. Maybe Michelle has been whispering in his ear
and she never was overly impressed with his infallibility, only with his ability.

Listen to HER Mr. President, not that DLC hack playing president...she's nobody's fool.

7. The press will never let him get away with being less than perfect
Edited on Tue Feb-03-09 06:53 PM by JayMusgrove
It's all over, I expect the Republicans will introduce a bill of impeachment tomorrow in the house.... we cannot have a President that is less than perfect, like we had under George W. Bush, who never regretted ANYTHING he did. He must have been the perfect President, no one ever impeached him.

9. Exactly. They have nothing to talk about now since he is the one
with the big cahones and owns it. They have nothing to chew on him about. It's brilliant. W.* never had a secure enough ego to do it.

Pick for the HHS honcho on my hometown's messageboard. I resorted to simply posting a picture of Cheney with the word "So?" in it. The conservatives who post there finally had a juicy target in Daschle to vilify, and sure took advantage of the opportunity to do so.

16. Thanks grantcart!!
Wish that I had known about this website long ago, I had been posting once and a while on the Townhall website messageboard during the elections and campaign last summer and fall. What a bunch of nutjob fanatic regulars there that comment on political news and blogs. I have had a lot of fun riling them up, and still do. I also recently found out about the freepers website, by reading the threads here

Think of how Bush was completely flummoxed when asked if he ever regretted any of his decisions.
