Dean mentioned by pundits

I was messing around looking for Obama on TV and saw several pundits mention the name of Howard Dean as a possible replacement for Tom Daschle. The mentioned it on Fox, CNN, and MSNBC, along with other names. I think they're testing the water.

Also, some very vague inferences to people in Obama's team who are Washington savvy but may not be doing the job he needs done. It was brought up that the stimulus bill that Rahm had much to do with has so much pork that Obama met with the Republican governors and told them he didn't want all that in there - kept his staff out of the meeting - and told his staff to CLEAN up that bill. It was also brought up that these Washingtonians are bringing in a lot of the people who have been in before.

Mr. President, I'd salute but I can't type with one hand.

by "Or attention," but I'll just say something that has no connection to your comment if it's okay by you.

President Obama wanted an open government, no secrets, all clean, transparent... his staff is not doing him justice. They are either not vetting properly or not giving a damn about credentials, just picking cronies. I get the feeling he's getting fed up with them.

And the stimulus bill had stuff he did not want - who is his staff working for anyway?

Does this, if true, mean perhaps he has enlisted the republican'ts as a weapon against the DLC?

3. If it's a trial balloon it's worked... they know what a good percentage of "the base" wants.

But of cousre it all depends on a lot of things. I'm just hoping they turn out in our favor.

His entire time in office it seems he's been running around begging republicans for their support. Damn you would think that the republicans were in control of congress or something.

5. For once it's a good thing though, he has Crist & Schwarzenegger out there talking up his stimulus

Governors are people who actually have to see up close what is happening to our economy (well, the ones who aren't parked in their tanning beds all winter long) and understand the need for stimulus. I think it's a lot easier negotiating with them than with the congressional types.
