It's SIMPLE: Bush Spent FIVE TRILLION DOLLARS and lost 198 THOUSAND JOBS over 8 years
And yet the Republicans that blindly supported Bush are telling Obama he can't have 800 billion to create 2 million jobs in 2 years?

Lost job stats come from Bureau of Labor and Statistics: http://data.bls.gov/PDQ/servlet/SurveyOutputServlet?data_tool=latest_numbers&series_id=CES0000000001&output_view=net_1mth

6. A lot of it doesn't exist any more.
Most money only exists in theory.

4. Can that be right? Only 198K? Hell, we lost 'way more than that.
Edited on Tue Feb-03-09 09:10 PM by panader0
Not all of these job losses came this past Monday (what 80-100K in one day?) Of course, that's after Obama was sworn in, but still, and I looked at the graphs, but it seems like a lot more than 198K. And what about those who were able to stay employed, but at a lesser wage?
Edit to add: Ijust had an e-mail from Gabrielle Giffords saying Arizona alone lost 92K jobs fro Dec., 07 to Dec. 08.
