He's the second person to put out this LIE tonight. Chris Matthews said nearly the same thing, but used the numbers 82% then and 63% now. Both are using his TRANSITION approval for the higher number and his more recent approval for the lower number. The truth is he started with a 68% approval rating and today has a 66% approval rating. I seem to see a pattern of deception.

84% of people approved of how Obama handled his transition not how he was doing as President. The first Gallup poll taken after he took office had his approval at 68%, the second highest ever for a new President after Kennedy. Right now it is 66%. So it's a 2% drop, not 18%.

and even if Tweety is not lying they are absolutely phoenomenal even at 64%....

The only time Presidents get in the high 80s or above is right around an inauguration, a war, etc.

The natural trend is probably for 50% to 50% and Georgie was down in the low 20's when he left.

I think even Bill Clinton or Ronald Reagan didn't get much above 60% for most of their terms so I'm absolutely ecstatic at 64%.

I'd only start to worry if it drops below 54%.
