Do you think Barack Obama hates little puppies?

It's been over two weeks since he's been President and still no puppy!

He made the lame excuse that the kids won't walk the dog when it's cold. I own a dog and I walk it in the winter... on a frozen lake even! That is no excuse!

Millions of dogs are being walked right at this moment. In rain. In snow. OK, yeah, where it's sunny and warm too. I'll give you that...

Besides, the kids won't really walk the dog. The Secret Service will. Or they will at least be there with them.

Heck, you can even get winter coats for dogs. You can even get paw booties too! OK, they fall off, but that's not the point!

YOU CAN WALK A PUPPY IN THE WINTER!

So why doesn't Obama get a dog? A puppy? A cute, fuzzy, funny, barking puppy?

The obvious conclusion is that he either is scared of dogs or he hates dogs!

making excuses, after two whole weeks this issue should have been resolved. I got my pupster when it was winter. She LOVES the snow because of it. And like you said, gettin' the piddle and poop part of the program gets done quickly when it's -12 outside.

Over the past 20 years, we've probably rescued upwards of 100 dogs and kept for ourselves maybe 30 of them. This little beagle is the cutest, sweetest, cheeriest, goofiest, and most difficult to housebreak of all of them. She doesn't like the cold, but rather than be inspired to get it done and get it over with, she just shivers and whimpers and looks generally pathetic until it's time to go back in.

Yes it would sure dominate the news cycle so why not save it for a bad week.
I hope he gets two, and at least one mostly grown dog from the pound...they are easy to live with because they have experienced bad times and appreciate a good home.
