President Obama was elected because, in overwhelming numbers, Americans are
tired of Republican policies of the last eight years that have taken our economy
off course. Even when the Bush Administration touted the 'strong fundamentals'
of our economy...we voters knew better, and we voted for change. President
Obama's Stimulus Package will bring to our country exactly the kind of change we
need.

But what is left of the Republican Party in Congress...the 'Roadblock
Republicans'...didn't get the message. They are still complaining about the
Stimulus Package,and calling for tax cuts, just as they have for eight years
now. Even worse, they criticize items that amount to a tiny fraction of the
bill...like anti-smoking programs that make up less than one-ten-thousandth of
the spending.

This kind of nit-picking is pure politics. It's exactly what 'Roadblock
Republicans' have been doing for the last eight years.

Obama's Stimulus bill is a GREAT bill that will help a lot of struggling
families. I hope Congress will remember all those people on the mall in
Washington, D.C. on January 20, 2009...who represent so many Americans who are
counting on them...and pass the stimulus package quickly. Let's finally put this
country back on the right track.
