President is taking it to Primetime Next Monday
President Obama will hold the first official press conference of his presidency next Monday night, February 9, two weeks earlier than President Bush held his first White House press conference eight years ago.

Obama is also slated to speak to a joint session of Congress on Tuesday, February 24, in what is being described as his first State of the Union address. The White House says he will submit his first budget to Congress by the end of this month or the beginning of March.

2. You mean instead of "The Romper Room Lies and Tales of Terror Show"
that we've been getting?

I haven't watched a full Presidential speech since * took office. It was just too painful, angering, and a total waste of time.

3. Excellent
Smart to go over the MSM heads and take it to the people directly. Much more effective.

5. Actually... it's a press conference... all the better --
He will be taking the questions from the MSM... First time since he became President...

and --- we will see his answers RIGHT THERE, real time. they can't really spin that. America is looking to see what the president has to say... HE is kinda blocking the MSM in this case, I think...

The next night is the SOTU address.. What a way to start the week!

4. This better not be at 9pm EST
If he interrupts 24 or Heroes (whichever one I feel like watching live this Monday), I will riot.

11. I know, I was thinking the same thing!
I feel guilty for thinking it, but my first thought was whether this would preempt 24. Glad to see I'm not the only 24 fan on here!

12. Maybe that will give Claire and Peter some time to learn how to act.

6. Anyone know what time?
I'm really excited about this but I hope it's before 24...some people on a 24 message board that I post on were wondering about that.

Please don't attack me...I agree that parts of the show feed into the right wing narrative but not all of it. Besides, I can't help it...I'm obsessed!

7. No one talks directly to the American people better than Obama. GOP will be DOA when he's through.

13. Would like to see him have 'fireside chats' to really 'splain the plan ...
... to Mr and Mrs Sixpack across the nation, so they can hear the real deal and not what the MSMorons tell them ...
