totally laid the smack down on the Republicans. He pointed out how hypocritical they've been throughout this "debate" on the stimulus. At first, when he offered up $300 billion of tax cuts right off the bat, they praised him for using some of their ideas. But then they got greedy and suddenly decided to treat him like he was being partisan and needed to include even more tax cuts. He laid the smack down on pretty much all of their arguments against the package. "Why WOULDN'T you want to convert government vehicles to non-fossil fuel vehicles? It creates jobs for the people who make the vehicles and it gets us off our addiction to oil!"
