"Dean For HHS Gains Momentum"
fingers crossed. . . .

I confess I don't know whether there is room in this world for Howard Dean to be in a cabinet that reports to Rahm Emanuel. I know that Gov. Phil Bredesen of Tennessee is a top candidate. That said, the former Vermont governor, DNC chair, NGA chair, health care expert and presidential candidate has some momentum tonight. Sen. Tom Harkin, who has discussed the job with the White House, has publicly endorsed Dean, as has the influential House member Raul Grijalva

4. Phil Bredesen? The guy who instead of promoting Obama during the campaign
Was publicly saying he needs to stop the big speeches and the big rallies? I don't want him anywhere in the administration

6. He's a decent enough guy....
... he's my Gov. and I've known (of) him since he was mayor of Nashville.

But this administation doesn't need "decent" folks .... it needs folks well above the mark.

12. Picking him would also mean a Republican would take over the governorship in TN
No thanks.

14. Bredesen is probably another dumb Rahm pick. There are already two great doctors for this spot. (nt)

11. Please dont blame me for being partial.....
... she was my pick for VP until I was introduced to the wonderment that is Joe Biden. I've missed her not being in the administration.

That and the fact that *I* stand a greater chance of being named than Dean does ...... but I know it would make a lot of folks here happy .... so I certainly wouldn't mind. ;)

13. The thing with Dean is..
he doesn't have a job in politics right now..so no one would have to replace him.

He'd work hard for us and I'm thinking he's paid up on his taxes.

16. Come on - There is room for Judd Gregg and not Dean? Say What?
Dean is the best candidate and Rahm should learn to play nice! :fistbump:

17. What happened to Bill Bradley, for universal health care, a good kind of solemn.
Does he work well with others? He'd add to the b'ball team.
