And hopefully they will flood the switchboards with calls demanding a "yes" vote.

It's hard to believe how tone deaf these people are. Tax cuts tax cuts tax cuts. What bullshit.

3. I think the main message was for the fence sitters
He will deliver a similar speech to the American Public on Monday if needed. Basically drawing a line. Those looking to work ourselves out of this on one side, those who want to follow the same failed policies.

15. They probably didn't watch it...but....
The comments the minute it was over were all about how hard he was on repubs, how partisan he was, etc. I would think they would watch it just to see it and be justly offended. After all that build up though, it wasn't all that partisan...I didn't think. If their ace in the hole is calling it a spending bill, he kind of knocked that out of the water. He laughed at them!! So let's see how they plan on stimulating the economy by not spending, by giving money to the wealthy who sock it away.......

10. The stimulous package is dead and the death will cripple the
Obama administration. The problem is that the opposition is vocal and we are satisfied with making smug comments on lefty chat pages.

They call their Senators and talk up opposition. We congradulate ourselves for our superiority and look down on the people who are winning the argument. Obama gave it a shot and we are failing him.

11. Hell, no.
The only time they might watch t.v. is when they're appearing on it personally playing their assigned roles.

12. I think they'll use it as an excuse to feign offense
Last night on CNN they said he may have offended the Republicans and has given up any hope of bi-partisanship.

14. The sad part is that the media is carrying their water
Just the days they spent covering the lipstick on a pig comment.

17. No kidding- I will never forget how ridiculous that was
For days, they pondered the meaning of Obama's lipstick on a pig comment. For DAYS! While NEVER addressing the serious issues of the campaign.

We also never heard about Sarah Palin's tax problems, her witch doctor, or the fact that the McCain's pre-paid their 08 along with their amended 07 taxes so the bottom line number would look more like 30% than the 4% or some incredibly low number that it really was.

Thank you, fourth estate, for doing your part to bring about the End of Democracy.

16. You would think so but....
these people forget the work for us. They remember who greases their palms and keeps their golf resort vacations coming. I'm listening to CSPAN now and it's amazing to me that these same jerks have no problem spending millions in Iraq daily but they are suddenly concerned about money being spent here to help this country.
