Does Anyone Know...
Exactly how the republican plan is supposed to actually... work?

I hear them tell us they want to cut taxes and that will fix everything... But... I never hear them say "How" it will fix everything.

Now... We get in depth explanation on the Dem's ideas; very detailed to the point. But the Pukes... Not so much.

Anyone know how it is supposed to work? Or... If THEY even know how it's supposed to work?

1. I haven't heard how it's supposed to work either...
I think it's all ronnie raygun theory.

Make the rich richer by giving them every break in the book, and perhaps they will throw a few crumbs down to the rest of us.

3. They often use Ireland as an example
Edited on Fri Feb-06-09 01:30 AM by Venceremos
Ireland cut its corporate tax rate to 12.5%. It worked at first, because it attracted businesses from other countries, so their economy boomed.

Now for the bad news that nobody mentions. When the economic downturn hit the Euro zone, Ireland became the first to officially slide into recession. And with such low tax rates, the government has little reserves to get itself out of trouble. So now, of course, the Irish government is discussing tax increases and who gets taxed.

4. It's all about the Private Economy
The only money or jobs or production they care about is what happens in the private sector economy. Therefore, their only solutions are ones that will affect business which limits their solutions to fiscal policy only.

Everything else government might do, literally everything, is socialism.

5. The rethugs don't give a damn...
They never did. All they want to do is be spoilers. I sent L Graham an email tonight telling him what I think of him and the rethugs. Won't do any good but I feel better. He's complaining Obama's not involved!?! What did bush do the last months of his "presidency"? Not a damn thing!

6. Their plan isn't supposed to fix the economy. Their goal is the same thing as it always is.
Make a few of their friends obscenely wealthy at the expense of everyone else.
