17. And by Monday, they'll be back spouting GOP talking points. Don't you get it yet?
Edited on Fri Feb-06-09 05:39 PM by rvablue
This whole attack, recede, change sides....blah, blah, blah....is an effort to maintain the ratings garnered by an historic election cycle.

So, they create a fight .... despite how false it is .... and we all tune in like lemmings to watch.

Mark my words, the second the support starts building for the Jobs Bill, they'll have a whole 'nother slew of RWers on to lie and smear again.

8. I Like Axelrod's Response......
when Tweety said what are you worried about - bring in the cots. Axelrod said what he is worried about are those people that won't be sleeping in their homes (paraphrasing).

15. The Way He Stayed Above The Fray & Let Tweety Do The Heavy Lifting
was excellent. And it is more than past time to call the republican'ts on the filibuster. We had the gang of 12 strong arming everyone with it during * and now this. Call them on it and let them lay down and be counted. But make them stay there, in front of the cameras, do it right.

29. And that $15,000 tax break for home buyers is going to fix it?
Get real Axelrod.

Today, my latest temp job ended. I came home to find my landlord fixing something in the house.

We got to talking and he said that he's getting lots of calls from people who have been turned out of their rentals because of foreclosures. He said that there simply isn't enough housing on the market, particularly for families, because too much is tied up in foreclosure.

What the h*!! is this stimulus bill doing about that?

Does Obama have another bill on the way which would buy these foreclosed properties and turn them into rentals? That tax break won't help many renters buy these foreclosed houses. They'll probably end up in the hands of Chinese investors and be way overpriced.

It is time to go to the mattresses and the cots.

Cool without more doesn't cut it anymore, Mr. Axelrod.

Wolf Blizer just interviewed an economist from Moody's who advised John McCain during the campaign. He said Obama's plan is a good one -- not perfect -- but good and it will create new jobs quickly.

WOlf said, "Should John McCain, whom you advised, vote for it?" He said, "Absolutely. The economy is slipping away and it needs to pass soon." (paraphrased)

23. Careful.
He's on our side now, but he's spent years trashing Clinton and propping up every wackjob Republican talking point Rove could hand him. It's only recently he has seen the tide turn and he has changed sides.

He could easily change sides again.

Don't assume he's on our side just because he sounds like it right now.

27. You don't have to tell me.
My love for Tweety is out of a perverse pleasure I get at being angry when he turns. I seriously think the man has a severe and extreme case of bipolar that has been left untreated for years. Loopiest bat on tv...however he still entertains me enough to have me love him. ^_^

600,000 jobs lost in four weeks.

Tax cuts? We don't need no stinkin' tax cuts. We need jobs!!!!!

20. Make 'em filibuster.
Can you say "death throes"?

People are hurting. People who aren't hurting (yet) are scared. If they filibuster, that gurgling sound you'll hear will be the Republican party going down Grover Norquist's bathtub drain.

Make them display their foolishness in the grandest style possible.

I don't like this bill. This is not the legislation we need. There are far too many tax cuts in it.

28. Nancy Skinner made the same call sitting in for Randi today: Vote It!! Let them put their names...
on the growing list of republican obstructionists that are prepared to push America off the cliff into oblivion just to game a little more power. Push them to it, make them vote, make them pay the price; start poking them in the chest, start fighting back!
