January was President Obama's time to 'stop the bleeding'. In the short time left of the month, he reversed many of the policies of what's his name. With incredible speed, the President halted torture, halted Guantanamo, relieved energy policies, fixed the abortion gag-rule, allowed for stem-cell research to progress, limited lobbyists and ensured transparency.
February's focus has been the HUGE jobs package. That President Obama is going to get this is significant. In my opinion, the repukes are mostly jealous. They kicked and screamed so that they could get some of the media's attention. They got some, so what. This is the biggest bill on President Obama's immediate agenda. So far, our 'go to's" are the Maine ladies and Specter. That list will grow. It will get easier with each PASSING bill. We will find the repubbies that are willing to put themselves above party and have enough seeing the light to keep things progressing. This is their 'big chance' and it is nearly over.
So, what is in store for March? We will get Obama's Address near the end of this month, and I assume we will learn more. What do you expect, what do you hope for?
