Harry Reid isn't going anywhere
Reid was re-elected Majority Leader by the Democratic caucus without an opposition on November 18, 2008, winning all 57 votes.

US Senate Majority Leader

The Dems are not going to remove him as their leader. He will be majority leader until the next Congress convenes. He is up for relection in 2010.

12. Pelosi paid to get her job. And I am sure she pays to retain it.
Pelosi contributes more money to her fellow Congressional colleagues'political campaigns than anyone else in Congress. Understand now why her colleagues elected her to be speaker now, and why she will retain in her power?

3. He can't be in there forever..........
Eventually he will either be replaced or retire or die, and HOPEFULLY be replaced by someone with a spine, and that will be a great day indeed.

4. Unfortunately by that time
the current crew of spineless dems in combo with the America-hating pukes will have destroyed this country and any possibility for a decent future.

5. We could have stronger leadership in the Senate if "we" wanted it
and we wouldn't even have to remove Harry Reid.

A strong Majority Leader gets his/her strength from THE COMMITTEE CHAIRS. Where's the Majority Leader's power? There is no special power that comes with being Majority Leader and the leader cannot be a committee chair. There's no other source for power but the committees and those run on seniority. "Personal Magnetism" or "gumption" of the Leader doesn't count for anything unless that Leader has the power to reward loyalty or punish disobedience.

You have to get the more important chairmen together in a pact to push through a desired platform first, then the Majority Leader will have clout to get things done and negotiate from strength. The Leader will have clout because the Committee Chairs have clout and if there's some wayward member of the caucus who isn't being a good team player then they must get nothing but trouble from every important committee in the Senate until they reform. You can have party discipline in this way, and get stuff done, or you can have 59 individual members each trying to screw the other and make the majority come crawling for their individual vote with bribes and influence.

As it is now we have NOBODIES from piece of shit nothing states, and outright traitors holding the entire country hostage.

10. In other words...
Majority Leader is the most prestigious position that nobody wants.

That explains... quite a lot actually.

15. Don't count on it
there's no Dem strong enough to oppose him, and the NV State Dem party is already hiring field ops with Reid in mind for re-election. I also can't think of a Republican that they can run who can beat him right now.
