1. She is the ally waiting for a President.
Nobody expected the pubs to keep being assholes, but now since they have proved it....

2. My personal opinion?
She is politics as usual. She doesn't really take a stand on anything, and it's infuriating. So I voted "I disapprove" or the closest to that.

So says me.

4. Well, I'm not judging based on this bill alone. I'm judging her from 2007 to today
So i gave her a somewhat approve.

9. DK isn't diplomatic enough. That's what the speaker has to be. Strong, but diplomatic.
You have to keep hundreds of people with different opinions together.

DK has strong points, but diplomacy isnt' one of 'em.

But that's not saying much.

11. She has managed to destroy Obama's dream of partisanship.
If that was her goal she has certainly succeeded.

Too bad she made Obama look like a chump.

12. Why? Do you think it is wrong to start out....
with a bill that includes what you actually want? What is the process by which people think legislation should be written? Should she have presented a bill full of tax-cuts? Or one the media, and the Republicans would like?

15. I used to admire her when she was Minority Leader...
But when she took control of the House and was just as ineffective, She slowly sank into "disapprove" territory.

17. I'm waiting for those "San Francisco Values" to kick in!
I was certain that Billo's and InsHannity's worst nightmare's about her would be realized, and she'd bring my little liberal corner of the world to the House. Boy, was I wrong!

She's from an old Italian, Political, Baltimore family, so I guess it's business and games as usual. After all, she was hand-picked by the Burton machine (which still has a huge hold in California politics--Perata is their boy as well) and it was to the top from there. No one with that kind of meteoric rise got there by sticking with populist principles.

Regardless, we're talking epic disappointment and fail. I'd've rather had Rahm, at least he'd put the fear of God into those jerk Repigs instead of bending over for them.

18. She's in way over her head
She's ineffective. She was totally outmatched politically 2 weeks ago when she was unable to articulate the reason for the 200m for family planning services in the original bill. She allowed Boehner and McConnell to own the weekend news cycle, thereby owning how the message would be crafted to the public. She was tasked with putting together a bill (albeit a draft) and failed miserably. She has cost Obama a tremendous amount of political capital because she is woefully inadequate as speaker. For the lifespan of this stimulus bill, it will be defined by Boehner-and this is entirely Pelosi's fault.
