What would the stimulus look like if we had a McCain as president?
My guess would be that it would be the largest tax cut bill in history. It would contain a zero tax on capital gains and inheritance tax. It would also increase funding for christian faith based organizations and an increase in funding of military contractors.

My point is:

With a large majority of Democrats in the senate I would guess that the package would look exactly the same as if we had a large majority of Repukes in the senate.

Sad but President Obama has an uphill battle to fight with these so called Democrats.

2. If the Democrats didn't have "control" in Congress
we would see a tax cut stimulus that erased taxes for the wealthy and corporations. And double spending on military.

There would be nothing in it that would create jobs unless you consider being forced into the military because they are the only one hiring. But if you are too old for the military or gay, you are just out of luck.

4. 90% tax cuts, 10% spending.
And that's an extremely generous figure.

10. I think it would be 120% tax cuts, -30 % spending
And I think they would have used this as a way to gut any "entitlement" programs other than SS. There would have been huge pressure to direct as much spending into defense and into bailout ripoffs as possible.

8. Isn't that the truth? His speech last night was a hot mess.
Did he NOT realize, like the rest of us did last September, that the man knows NOTHING about matters of finance? Should have sat this one out.

12. McCain stimulus would be tax cuts for the wealthy and spending for donors to the Republican Party
Under McCain the wealthy would get to keep more of the money they steal.

Stimulus spending would be directed where the big campaign donors want it:

1. Defense weapons development and procurement

2. Off shore oil drilling, more drilling on public lands, and exploration in ANWR.

3. Public money for private school vouchers
