5. That was my plan, too.
I thought Obama was step one....

but it appears it was a Hobson's Choice
between Hillary and him.

3. That is what I heard too. I am waiting for the bill to pass the senate
and go to conference before I call it a failure. We really don't know what is going to end up being in it when all is said and done. First things first.

4. I sure hope you are right. I heard payroll tax, but one has to be employed to enjoy that cut.

6. True - but I think they left in extending unemployment benefits
if one is eligiable for unemployment.

7. Keep in mind. That Obama and the House will add to this in conference
And then you only need 50 Senate votes!!

8. I heard on TV the cuts are going to the poor and the middle class. This is what...
Obama said he'd do throughout his campaign. Why are you upset about it NOW?

I think it IS a good stimulus to the economy. Poor and lower and middle middle class people don't have expendable income (or much of it), so when they get extra money, they tend to spend it on things they need or want that they normally wouldn't be able to buy. Unlike upper middle class and wealthy, who don't tend to spend extra money, because they have expendable income to buy pretty much what they need and want anyway.

That's what the Repubs are upset about...it's not tax cuts for the RIGHT people.

9. There are no marginal rate reductions. None.
I wish people would at least look at it before making a knee-jerk statement about tax-cuts.
