I hope we're not letting Sen. Ben Nelson set the tone for the new era
Damn guy might as well be a Republican oftentimes.

He's certainly entitled to be as conservative as he wants, if the voters of Nebraska want to keep re-electing him.

But let's not have him setting the tone of what is done and not done, and how. Lordy, Lordy.

1. On a big bill like this sometimes the more conservative/moderate Dems
and moderate Rethugs might be needed. The bill is close to what Obama originally wanted in terms of amount. The only thing I want to see put back in is the public transit stuff.

2. This is how Benny gets his periodic 15 minutes--he fancies himself
the mediator, and inserts himself into legislative processes as a self-appointed "centrist"--all he's really doing is trying to score points with the GOPers in Nebraska. He's endlessly desperate for their approval, the smarmy helmet-head.

6. Well I'm new to NE and I can't stand his ass. I'm sure my emails
are being blocked at this point. I let them know I'm not used to Dems who act the way he does and if that's the way he has to roll then I'll never ever vote for him. I let him know last night that his Yea vote for Vitter's amendment was disgusting.

He needs to remember President Obama did squeak one electoral vote here and he can stop being a puke now. When I first moved here and looked at his bush loving website I wanted to throw up. ick!

7. Thank You!
and I agree with you. I think both Nelsons, Landrieu, and Bayh, should change parties.

9. Try faxing to their office in Nebraska.
Might be worth having a fax modem even if you don't have dial-up. There are a couple of places that I fax instead of email either because they don't have internet service or it will get their attention faster.

8. He's not doing anything different. He's doing what he always does
He has pull because the Blue Dogs follow him.

You can thank him for the Bush Tax cuts and got Democrats to vote for him

10. I know -- That's the problem
He shouldn't be setting the tone.
