We would be SO FUCKED if McCain had won
Over the past 24 hours I've felt frustrated and stressed out that the Republicans are once again trying to be as destructive as possible by blocking a bill that will help restore our economy. McCain and his fellow Republicans have proven that they would rather see the US fall into Great Depression II than cooperate with Democrats on anything. My only consolation is the knowledge that at least we have a president who truly is concerned with our best interests. If McCain had won, there would be NO hope, none at all. American troops would essentially be sent through a meat grinder in Iraq and average Americans would be starving on the streets while the GOP fat cats would be prancing around in furs and diamonds eating pheasant and caviar and playing the harpsicord. It would look like the opening scene in "Oliver" - luxury and hedonism for them, gruel for everyone else.

So once again, thank GOD we aren't being led by an old, senile carbon copy of Bush and a racist bimbo with the IQ of a breath mint.

its scary to think about.

Instead of joining the few moderates, he's whining about being shut out and is putting party over country.

This is going to be deleted soon, so here it is in full:

"What part of "Fiscal Responsiblity" do you not understand. Yes, both the Republicans and the Democrats made a freaking mess of things for the past 20 or so years but to get mad and say that the only remaining Republicans are trying to block a smooth talking President with no experience is an ablsolute brain dead comment. I guess you want Dog Parks and Frisbee golf and all the other bullshit that is in this totally irresponsible bill????????? Wtf are you smoking? If putting that stuff in this bill will fix this economy I will kiss your brainwashed ass. Good for the remaining few that at least are not scared to stand up against the liberal media and ignorant people who want to blame the republicans for an economic plunge that they are not all to blame for.
Who the hell wanted to give loans to people who couldnt afford them....YOU.....who the hell wants to give everything away to people who cant and wont pay it back....YOU....who the hell wants to BORROW this much money for Dog Parks and Frisbee Golf.....YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU.
Wake the freak up. Every GD bit of this money is money that you and I dont have....its BORROWEDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD. How you gonna pay it back???
I can hear your motivational speech to your kids now for their future...Ok now kids you can try and get a job but if you dont you will make as much as the people who do work because our new president will make sure you get back tax money that you never PAID. God that would so motivate my kids...........to sit on their ass and not do a damn thing. Which is what is coming but you are too ignorant to see the Socialist movement staring you right in the face......Dont go down swinging friend....just GO DOWN"

This, my friends, is what a FREEPER looks like. So read carefully before you accuse progressive DU-ers of sounding like a Freep, m'kay?

not so much "derangement" but a mental ineptness that forbids any rational thought.

seems to me in Kindergarten the conservative was the kid that argued "sharing toys was akin to socialism." thus republicans are the most anti-social of all.

25. I've been thinking that for quite a while! The last 2 days, McNuts
has really been pissing me off! I was screaming at the TV this morning "You LOST old man, so go home to Az. and retire!" There have actually been times when I liked the way McNuts seemed like one of the few rational Senators in DC, but the last few days he's been an absolute AH!

Rhetorical question, I know. I'm sure you didn't miss it.

McCain is much more than an Ass Hole. He's a pathetic example of a senior citizen. He gives old people a bad image. And he's not too bright either. And his choice for VP was the ultimate fuck you to the nation.

37. No, I didn't miss it. I chalked that up to stupid campaign tactics.
When I gave some cudos to McNuts, I was thinking of the guy who was part of the "gang of 5 or 7" or whatever the number was who seemed to be one of the few rational Senators at the time. Or back when he ran for Prez the first time and was actually telling the public the truth! Remember when he slammed the RW religious kooks? It just seems, in the last several days, THAT McNuts is nowhere to be found!

38. It is an interesting transformation
I remember people saying that McFruty was only "pretending" to be a RW nut to get the nomination. Then it was he was only going along with Rovian tactics because he wanted to win the presidency. No, He really has become W, jr, except older and crankier. Something odd happened to him after his defeat on 2000. He really believes this crap that he used to oppose.
