Obama's approval rating up 2 points from yesterday...
Edited on Sat Feb-07-09 01:15 PM by jenmito
and his disapproval down 1 point from yesterday. Maybe people like his newly fired-up attitude to get the stimulus bill passed after his best earlier efforts to reach out to the Repubs. 65% approve, 20% disapprove.

1. Gallup?? Wow. They're so anti-Democrat it's astonishing to see
they've polled him so high.

I mean, considering they poll a disproportionate amount of repubs compared to Democrats, it appears repubs approve of President Obama.

This is good news.

2. According to Gallup, Obama has fallen a whopping THREE points since his first polled approval
of 68%. THAT'S good news, too.

4. Yup, because they keep saying he fell 20 points from an 83% approval rating...
which was, of course, his TRANSITION approval, not his presidential approval rating.

5. I posted a Gallup article yesterday that basically stated that
Americans have very much confidence in our President.

The article mentions his 65% approval rating (since the article was written the day before), but his Gallup rating on that day had dropped two points to 63%. I stated in that post that his numbers would start to go back up again.

here's my post: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=132&topic_id=8176618&mesg_id=8176618

What this shows me is that the media can trash talk the President for two weeks straight, and all that he seems to lose in public opinion rating is in the range of 5 points. Those 5 points represents Americans that buy what the TeeVee sells them.

It appears that the media would have to trash President Obama for two month Straight to get him down into the 50s. It must suck to be Corporate Media right now, when your job is to control public opinion for your corporate masters and the GOP!

Yup, the media can, will, and HAS BEEN trash talking the President for about a week and his numbers are almost as high as they were the day they started keeping track of his approval ratings! They keep lying to us and people don't seem to be buying it.

10. Absolutely outrageous!
What kind of nonsense is this? It is absolutely unheard of that people approve of their president in these numbers. It has to be a mistake. The numbers are falsified. It's an MSM conspiracy. :bounce: :bounce: What are people thinking? Don't they understand this is a liberal, left wing conspiracy to send us all into a socialist downward spiral? OUCH! (The padding is kind of thin on my rubber room walls.)

Obama is not the Messiah. He is just a smart man who understands and does not have an agenda for filling his and his buddies' pockets. It is good to finally have some hope for the future of this country. Keep it up Republicans. You're digging your own grave. If you can't dig fast enough, I'll rent a backhoe or excavator so you can dig faster!
