Critics will say Obama's Still Campaigning, and they will be wrong.
MSNBC: "Campaigner-In-Chief"

Obama leaves DC to meet with the public.

I think it's genius, rather than fight with the Senate over passage of the stimulus package, the President meets with the public who, after all, are the ones who elected him and who will bear the burden or enjoy the fruits of his plans.

That's not campaigning, that's engaging in participatory democracy.

OMG, first he admits when he screws up, now he talks to the public after being elected, what's next?

What's next???

.

1. He is brilliant, imo. And he is right. Take it to the people, and listen
to those who need the stimulus. That's his job, and the rethugs would serve themselves well by listening.

2. Why stop what works?
What are they mad about? That he's going around them and straight to the source (which is the people)?

6. It's MSNBC for crying out loud. Even Pat Buchannan sais it was a shrewd move.
But the muckraking ratings-seeking powers that be think it's provocative to call belittle it.

Not surprising, but nonetheless pathetic.

9. CNN too. How about John King going to a Republican county
that voted for McCain and asking them about Obama and the stimulus package. What kind of reaction were they looking for? They got it. Why not an Obama county? Or a county where both candidates were pretty much tied in?

7. Obama is putting the people first as it should be, and its driving
his critics crazy, maybe the people are finally being treated as citizens rather than consumers!!!

11. Does anybody remember W's first term?
He spent the entire 4 years either going to rallies or on vacation. The man had to have set some sort of record for flight miles on AF1.
