He doesn't hide behind troops who under the UCMJ have to snap to. He doesn't screen his audience, and he doesn't have RNC thugs evict individuals with bumper stickers that might hurt his feelings. Nope, he stands up, answers questions from ANYONE, makes his case with eloquence and intelligence (words his predecessor couldn't even spell), and reminds me why I'm proud to be an American.

1. Remember last week?

He met with some of the relatives of the USS Cole bombings, some of whom did not agree with his decision to shut down the prison at Guantanamo Bay. They are entitled to their opinions and President Obama respected that. The last guy wouldn't have had anything to do with any opposition. Cindy Sheehan is a good example of that.

2. The POTUS channel on XM radio was talking about his

town hall today, and both the anchor (Joe Mathieu) and his guest (can't recall who), were saying it was "quite a site to behold after the last 8 years" because "we never saw George Bush allow dissenters or non-supporters into his town hall meetings." They both agreed that Obama did a great job and handled the tough questioners with ease and respect.
