back in 1993, after being released from 12 years of stupidity (ray-gun and poppy)I really wanted to meet President Clinton. He was the first Democratic President in my adult life. I voted against ray-gun and poppy and I was very disillusioned.
Then came Bill. I just wanted to say thanks. I never got the chance. I know the odds are really slim.
However, I did get to see him speak in person. It was in Northridge, California. Just after the quake. It was something to be able to see the President of the United States come and talk to us. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know, presidents do that, but after the quake, it really meant something to me.
So I never got a chance to meet him, but I saw him in person. And that was something.
Now, I'm older, wiser, more jaded, was less hopeful about our future up until a few months ago. ;)
I want to make my wish known, (I know, if you tell your wish it won't come true, WHAT ever), I would like to meet our President of the United States: Barack Obama. (so nice saying that).
I know, in reality, the chances of that happening are really slim. Probably a zero to nil chance, but never the less, I would like to meet him. Just to say thanks. That I support him. And as a citizen of the US, if he ever called upon me for anything, I would be there in a heartbeat. That's all.
So there it is, I want to meet President Obama. Whether that will ever actually happen in my lifetime is another story.
Peace.
