I hereby withdraw my support from Barack Obama
He's done a lot to make me question his decision-making, but I've kept supporting him. No longer after next week.

According to TV Guide, he has another prime time appearance next Monday night as well. Pushing Chuck off tonight was mean, but pushing 24 and Heroes off next week? That's just plain nasty.

President Obama! I hereby call upon you to move your primetime press conference next week to Tuesday at 8pm when American Idol usually comes on. You can come on the air every Tuesday at 8 as far as I'm concerned. Just let me have my 24 and Heroes! Oh and Fringe. And, uh, Lost. Oh and don't you dare touch my Thursday nights at 9 when The Office comes on.

:hi:

2. I think 24 is still on tonight
I was just over at the 24 forum and people were stressing about it, but I think it's still a go for tonight because it's at 9, and the press conference is at 8.

If he does preempt 24 I too will be very upset...with the possible exception of dropping the "buy American" provision from the stimulus, this will be the first thing he does as president that really makes me mad.

6. I checked my listings and 24 and Heroes are both fine tonight
But if he has another primetime appearance next Monday, it's extremely unlikely he would come on at 8. 10's too late, so he'll probably be on at 9. I think.

8. Wait, he's doing another press conference next Monday night?
Damnit! Why does it always have to be Monday? And why do you assume he will do it at 9 instead of 8?

11. That's what I read
Hopefully TV Guide's website is wrong.

And I assume that he would royally piss off some network execs if he preempted shows like House and Chuck two weeks in a row. Chuck's barely surviving as it is, the last thing NBC would want is for Chuck to be off the air a full three weeks after the big 3D episode.

12. Where do you see it on the TV Guide website?
I just checked and it looks like 24 is still scheduled for now. 24 rarely gets preempted...they try very hard to show it every single week in succession while it's on. But I guess if Obama's speaking they probably will preempt it...if it was anyone or anything else I'd be totally pissed. Barack Obama is just about the only person I could forgive for preempting 24.

13. Good, House will get knocked off.
Now, "The Big Bang" gets shifted to 9:30pm so many school kids can't watch it and want to grow up and be super smart and funny scientist instead of a mean-spirtied shelfish doctor where all the other doctors worry about who and where to have sex with at the hospital.

I use Hulu all the time and they don't put shows on there that haven't aired on TV yet. It'll be delayed on Hulu as well.
