Er, Um, It's Kinda Quiet Here For What Happened Today. Humble Pie Anyone?
Can somebody who knows how to do it, post some pictures of pie? Obama likes pie. And he likes erving pie.

It's been a hellava day. Something really good and big happened to day that hasn't happened in this country in a long time. Great victory for Obama and the democrats. Tremendous.

We'll save the best humble pie for those who still, after the primary, after the general, and after getting the largest bill ever passed in history within three weeks of taking the job, who still, even now, want to second guess and tell OBama who he should and shouldn't talk to.

Now I'm going to go and see if I can learn how to post some pie.

4. Have to agree with that. No matter what happens, the Rs will claim the upper ground..
if it works - it will be because they "Fixed It"

If it fails - it will be because Obama "spent" too much and didn't listen to them.

We have to get out and frame these things before they do. I'm at the screw bipartisanship phase right now. They need to be buried.

7. It won't work. They will look like idiots if they do.
I said early on that their best shot would be to vote with the thing and take credit for fixing it. But they didn't do that. They stayed stupid because their base is stupid. They couldn't afford to confuse their base, which would have happened had they looked reasonable with Obsma. Nope. He had them between a rock and a hard place. And instead of embracing the high road, they went back to what they know best.

6. I would love some pie!
Thanks for the reminder. I have some apple and cherry pie slices in the freezer and need to pull one out to celebrate.

BTW, I learned early on that Obama is confident for a reason. He sort of has a plan, and it usually works, or if it doesn't, he pulls out another plan.

37. I'm gonna assume you use firefox, because you should be at any rate.
So find a picture you like. images.google.com is great for this. Right-click the picture. Choose "copy image location" from the popup. This will put the URL pointing directly to the image on your clipboard. Now, in the box where you type your DU message, press CTRL-V to paste the image URL into the text of the message. Push the preview button, and you should see the image in your message body instead of the text of the URL.

If you're using IE, the process should be similar, though I haven't touched IE in years. Worst case, you can right-click the image, pick "view image" (or similar option) then copy the URL out of the address bar. Then paste it into the message body as above.

12. YUP
And now the talking heads are forced to throw up the poll numbers showing support. And Republicans are looking like idiots getting dressed down on TV.

Never would have happened without playing the game. It is like a game of seven card draw when you get dealt two aces then have the other two dealt on the flop. You can go all in and win the hand, or you can slow play and let some idiot who was dealt the 2 and 3 suited keep upping the bet until the final card is turned. You are hoping the person draws a straight so you can kill them off. The dumb shit repukes went half in at the flop and went all in after the river. (The shocking part is they got dealt bad cards and still went all in - no wonder things got screwed up.)

Every single time I see someone type "I'm putting you on ignore!1!" or "plonk" I can't help but think, you might as well have typed "I am a huge nerd. A big crying, sensitive assed nerd and the purpose of Internet discussion boards has CLEARLY escaped me."

Luckily, I do think the vast majority of the people here realize how very, ahem... FRAGILE they look screaming "I'm putting you on ignore!" but there are a few who seem to have not gotten the memo. :)

Find a pic of pie (google "image of pie" or something), right click on it, go to "properties" and click on it, then highlight the "location," then while it's highlighted (blue), right click on that and "copy." Then just right click in the message box here and paste it. The pic will come up.
