I don't think there's been a live Presidential address/domestic news conference (as opposed to foreign news conferences) NOT carried by the news channels and affiliates in recent decades. Christ, Bush did it like last Summer didn't he? I remember one of my shows got preempted, damn it. Almost happened again tonight, but NBC played nice with its viewers and played Heroes like nothing special. :shrug:
