If so, speak up!

We LOVE to have "independent" people here at the DU. so speak up!

Oh wait! I am on the DU forum, no "independent" need apply.............or am I wrong? I love independents who, like me, support Obama!

2. I think independents are welcome as long as they support the Dems
Edited on Mon Feb-09-09 10:20 PM by Jennicut
I was an independent when I first registered at age 20. I became a Democrat in 2004. Bush pushed me into it and I have embraced the Dem party ever since. We are not perfect, but we are a heck of a lot better then the Rethugs.

6. ??? Depends upon what's going on. Mobs of Independents hung out here during the Primaries
Edited on Mon Feb-09-09 10:30 PM by patrice
and somewhat fewer during the Campaign. Fewer now, because there's a lot less for them to do.

Your post count is low and apparently you haven't been just lurking and reading here very much either or you would have seen all of the Independent activity in the last 2 years. I remember the primaries of 2004 were WILD here then too.

Sometimes other events will set things off, like when Steve Irwin died, everyone was at everyone's else's throats, except me, of course. O8)

13. I turned Independent for about 6 months in 2001...
after the Dems started caving to the Bush agenda. Then I realized I could not vote in the Dem primaries, so I changed back.
