Although they praise Barack Obama for his news conference performance tonight,
they still had some reservation of how well he did.

I'm imagining that the public will be proven them wrong within the next few days.

According to Anderson Cooper, the President did well, but did he wait too long? Could he have done more to get the Republicans onboard! :eyes:

According to Rolands (CNN), the President's answers were too long. Only for those with short attention span, like the Mr. Roland and others in the media. :boring:

According to Gergen, The President was excellent, but he didn't do "Fantastic"! :wtf: does that even mean?

According to John King and his maps, he insinuates that the President was being politically calculative all day today, as he will continue to be. Ye-ah.....sounds good to me! Meanwhile, John King highlights which politico can say "no" based on the geography of where they come from, and who can say "NO" to the Stimulus package.

Like Mr. Gibb and President Obama stated, the Cable Chatter Channels are behind the times when it comes to their commentaries.

In my opinion, the vast majority of both groups have the same take away. Obama attempted to work with the Repubs, the repubs were only interested in obstruction, and Obama won.

The pundits are much like the repubs; following the same failed tactics. If this continues, repubs will have 30 Senate seats and Nate Silver will have his own cable news network.

I appreciated something the President did a few times today - he immediately pointed out and then rejected the premise of the question being asked, and then re-framed it (to conform to reality, and not to some right wing talking point) before he answered. Democrats don't do that very often and instead just sit there miserably in the trap and try to answer within the right wing framing of the question.

Brian Williams just went to Chuck Todd for a second for a comment(they were not going to delay their 9pm est prime time programming) and Todd promptly whined 'he was forceful but he should have done this last week'. I assume that he feels that way since that would have given them the opportunity to complain that the President was not being as 'bipartison' as he promised.

And of course, it may have saved a few Rebumplingkins from the shovel <-> grave thingie that Obama deftly tossed into their cesspool.

31. I agree with other posters: it is on purpose.

Republicans do a great job in making hay over small things and bungling big things while diverting everyone's attention.

The media is at its best when it is mucking about trying to find fault, not when they beat the street trying to identify real news stories. I don't even think some of these pundits leave the comfort of their offices to interview people directly impacted by the legislation being considered. They want their work done for them. They don't get paid for investigative journalism, just repackaging spin and secondhand information.
