Thinking on his feet.
This President listens to a question and thinks about it before he answers. And he is thinking about it while he answers. He is treating people like they may have a brain in their heads.

Can you believe that I am actually making this observation? As if this is something remarkable. Well, it is. That is how bad things were before he came along!

1. Oh yes. I used to get a little nervous when he'd hesitate mid-sentence. I'd worry
that he couldn't think of the next words to say. He has proved me wrong 100% of the time. He's just so good as choosing his words carefully.

2. I've read that he's got remarkable listening skills.
People are always impressed at how well he listens to them. That's a great way to win people over--give them all of your attention and respect what they have to say. Then you can disagree with them or not.

3. He spoke to We the People like we are grownups.
Boosh always spoke down to We the People. His attitude was "We know best so you all just trust what we say & oh, by the way, go shopping."

It was such a pleasure to listen to our President.

4. Yes, Bush was condescending
I remember one time he was talking and he said, "I don't know how many people know this but they can make gasoline out of corn". Then he made a face like he had really given us a revelation. This was less than 2 years ago.
