Woohoo, Air Force One just flew over my Store in Bonita Springs FL!
Was standing at the back door, heard a loud noise coming from the East, looked up and Air Force One was turning to the North to land in Fort Myers. Awesome! He must be running late because it was about 11:15 and he's scheduled to speak at 12.

5. Are they planning to give him a tour of the local foreclosures?
Thousands and thousands of home in various stages of
foreclosure in the Naples/ Fort Myers area. So sad. So
different from when I visited the area five years ago...

7. My brother is in Ft. Meyers and unemployed for a couple of years.
24 years as a KMart manager. KMart fired most its senior managers in one afternoon. The State of Florida saw to it he got two weeks severance pay.

4. I was in Bonita Springs last month.
Interesting landing pattern for Air Force One, different than most planes approaching RSW airport.

Where is your store?

11. Near Coconut Point, Coconut Rd/Three Oaks Sweetbay Plaza
And you are correct, they normally come off the Gulf. He came from the East.

6. Excellento !!!
Say, when I was in the air force Jimmy Carter came to our base and I was standing with the guards and his limo came right up to us so close I could reach out and touch him. I just smiled and said hello. It was neat because that day was very cold and I was "out of uniform" wearing my cold weather parka and the commander made me leave out of the line of the others wearing their dress blues. So while they were freezing in line I got to see the President !!!

9. Oh, God...! Before your time.
I don't feel any older you young whipper-snapper you! Yes, the window was open and he did smile; he was very gracious. And that night I partied with the OS (sort of the elite sercurity force, my friend I was standing with that day was the girlfriend of one of them) and the crew of Air Force but Jimmy was elsewhere. I still have a book of Air Force One matches from that event. Those Dems were real party animals though.

10. Pretty cool.
I once saw Air Force One flying overhead when it was taking President Clinton back to Andrews. Not something you see every day.
