32. Do not Say yes to Octoshape
It makes you agree that CNN can use your bandwidth. You lose the right to monitor your own network traffic even information collected by your own firewall.

From the EULA: 'You may not collect any information about communication in the network of computers that are operating the Software or about the other users of the Software by monitoring, interdicting or intercepting any process of the Software. Octoshape recognizes that firewalls and anti-virus applications can collect such information, in which case you not are allowed to use or distribute such information.' "

5. Crist: "This issue about helping our country IS ABOUT HELPING OUR COUNTRY!!!"
Thank you Gov. Crist! He also implored the Congress to pass the stiumulus bill, asking them to work in a bi-partisan manner.

I dont totally trust him, I think he's posturing for a 2012 run .... but I'll take it! I felt bad for the man when McCain didn't pick him for VP because I could tell in his face he wanted it, but I'm glad he didn't! The man at least has a brain in his head.

29. As A Floridian I Have To Say That Crist HAS Surprised Me... I Didn't Vote
for him for obvious reasons, AFTER JEBBY and all, but he's NOT JEBBY!! I fear having JEBBY back on scene as my gut tells me he WILL BE BACK, and I also feel Crist will be close by too!

I also feel as you do about not trusting him completely, but for now I'll take it too! I don't live too far away from Ft. Myers, right down south of me and almost as RED as where I live so being a Democrat is always tough stuff around here. Ft. Myers didn't go for Obama, but neither did Sarasota. Actually, I think Sarasota really DID go for Obama, but we have a really HORRIBLE Supervisor of Elections and in the end I think the total was that he lost by 112 votes!

Kathy Dent is a Katherine "Cruella" Harris clone! I worked HARD to get her out of office, but somehow she did it again!! I think she perpetrated ANOTHER fraud here though... stats came out that she won by OVER 65% and I just can't buy that! Every election she's been involved with has had some "glitch" and yet she's still here! This, the county that lost all those votes in 2006.... 18,500 plus! I repeat this all the time I know, but it STILL irks me!!!!

hard on the nerves, how dare he take time to think instead of regurgitating one-liners with ease.

All she wants is a kitchen and place to live for her family. When Obama went over to her I just lost it.

27. Did you see that last guy, Julio???
Edited on Tue Feb-10-09 01:17 PM by jenmito
He was sooo happy to have gotten to ask a question. He kept taking off his hat and looking up as if thanking god! And he was so happy to hear Obama tell him he should be proud of himself for working so long (at McDonald's) and going to school at the same time. The guy wanted to know if he could get more benefits after working in the same job so long. What a great ending.

28. That was awesome, especially since he thought he was getting called on earlier.
Those two or three minutes just made Julio's week, if not month or year!! Obama engaged him so well also, you could see the teacher aspect of his background in that interaction, giving him time to speak, asking about his personal situation, and encouraging him to keep persevering.

That moment was a fantastic cap to this town-hall!

30. My Grandson Just Called From Classes He's Taking At Manatee Junior College
to ask me if I watched it! He's taking some extra classes BEFORE he starts his BIG college experience this coming fall!

I'm the family POLITICAL Guru and it really makes me feel good when "my grandson" calls regarding political issues. I've tried to teach him how very important it is to keep up with what happens in the world even while he's so young. Nice to know that he takes time out of "having fun" to call his Grandma about these things!

I'll miss him when he leaves to go to Gainesville, but I'm really glad he's taking his education seriously!
