I hope.

I thought his legacy would be the shredding of the Constitution, the wrecking of New Orleans, world-class ineptitude that puts Grant's administration to shame, and the foolish evil of the Iraq war. But instead . . . it's economic collapse.

If, however, the economic collapse continues to accelerate into a full-scale depression that leads to World War IV (or is is V, I'm losing count) with its attendant environmental catastrophes and lack of will and resources to fight climate change . . . then future anthropologists from Planet Zarg will probably rate Bush as the worst ever.

Whatever. Bush, Bush, Reagan, and Nixon are the top 4 worst presidents ever! At least they had Nixon there and Johnson was terrible, ruining the Reconstruction.

right after the Great Depression in terms of risks to our democracy.
