So I am watching "Looking for Lincoln" on PBS last night when guess who shows up...
I was watching "Looking for Lincoln" last night on PBS and it contained an interview with Shrub about his "thoughts" on Lincoln. When they cut to him I had an instantaneous physical revulsion to seeing him on my TV again. It reminded me of exactly how much I despise this man. I know it is only been about 30 days AB (After Bush), but I honestly believe I will retain my hatred (not an easy word for me to use) of this man for the rest of my life.

The worst part of the interview was that Shrub did not reflect that much on why he liked Lincoln or why he thought he was a good president; rather, he talked about how HE was like Lincoln ("war president", people reviled him) and how HIS pResidency will be forgiven in the long term like Lincoln (habeas corpus, doing what is unpopular, etc).

5. I watched that last night and my reaction was much the same as your.
I was astounded to hear Bush compare himself to Lincoln and I realized that it was probably the most sincere statement that I've ever heard come out of his mouth. The man is plagued with delusions of grandeur.
