Right Back at Ya, Judd

Statement from the White House:

"Senator Gregg reached out to the President and offered his name for Secretary of Commerce. He was very clear throughout the interviewing process that despite past disagreements about policies, he would support, embrace, and move forward with the President's agenda. Once it became clear after his nomination that Senator Gregg was not going to be supporting some of President Obama's key economic priorities, it became necessary for Senator Gregg and the Obama administration to part ways. We regret that he has had a change of heart".

3. Should be interesting to see Gregg's press conference in a few minutes and how he responds.
Body language is always very telling.

9. "We regret that he found himself incapable of fulfilling the duties of the position".
That's how I wish the last line read. The rest of the statement is good, but that last line is too soft, IMO.

But I guess that's how Obama likes to play partisan politics, the "our door is always open" approach.

Well, I slammed my freaking door shut and dead-bolted it today.

10. so not only did he lobby for the position...
but he also put his friend, the Gov. of NH, in a tight spot by getting him to promise to replace him with another republican.

Class act Judd. :eyes:

12. So, now we know they don't play nice.
Can we give a big, collective FU to those bastards , now? Or do we still have to play kissy-face? I say fire -up the steam-roller, and let them filibuster. GAME ON.

13. The repubs pulled on Greggs strings harder than Obama cared to.
So Obama writes that he cut his strings with Gregg. On the other hand the repubs are trying to use this against the jobs stimulus package in yet another heartless move by the drunken sailors of the previous unmentionable administration.

14. Great statement.
So Gregg "offered" his name. LOL

Goodbye and good riddance. And if the door hits you on your way out, it's fine by me.

May your 2010 election not be successful! In fact, there were some who thought that the reason be why you "offered" your name for Commerce in the first place was because you realized that it would be hard going to get re-elected.

Yes, you did make a mistake. And YOU look like a total idiot.
