Rahm Emanuel tells reporters that Judd Gregg signaled to the White House earlier in the week he was having second thoughts about the Commerce job, and Obama met with him Wednesday at the White House to urge him to stay. “There is not hard feelings. It is better that it happened now than after the fact,” Emanuel said. “If I said it wasn’t a disappointment that would lack any credibility.”

I'm going to grab my crying towel.
Let's hope we get a much better pick with Gregg out of the picture.
