He should probably listen to more of what Axelrod and Jarret say rather than the corporatist bloc he has installed in the WH. Jus saying.

1. I wouldnt put Rahm and Reid in the same category...a year ago, sure.
But he's the COS, so Id imagine hed rely more on him for advice.

2. Although Reid is a senator, Reid has given advice to the Prez
specifically on the Gregg fiasco.

3. Per the NYT he took Geithner's advice on bailout regulation (or lack thereof) over Axelrod's.

4. I think he probably should have gone with the Ax on this one. Go with a proven winner.

5. I agree. Axelrod's position is also shared by economists like you-know-who (P.K.) and Volcker

6. and Volker is the guy who supposed to be in charge of emergency recovery. I would say the financial
crisis is part of this recovery aspect. Go with the proven winners.

8. Um...what does that have to do with anything?
Are they capable of having different opinions or are they like the borg?

9. the OP assumes there are two "teams" giving conflicting advice.
So since we're making assumptions, mine is Emanuel and Axelrod and closer than Emanuel and Reid or Jarret and Axelrod.

10. there probably are conflicts within the team
but it doesn't break down like you put it. How are Jarrett and Axelrod in a different camp than Rahm? They're all Daley machine people. And how does Reid go with Rahm? Reid doesn't even figure with the others in influence with Obama. The others work in offices adjacent to Obama, while if Reid meets with Obama it's a news story.

12. I wasn't impressed with Jarret when Tweety had her on when she was hoping for Senate bit...
Bad Vibes from her..but both Obama's love her. So...I'll give her a break.

13. You must have missed the C-Span Video fundraiser for Alexrod's kid
Edited on Thu Feb-12-09 09:41 PM by KoKo
way before the election where Obama, Hillary and Rahm and Axelrod were all there for the benefit for Axelrod's kid. I posted the video..somewhere here on DU (in Archives now) where they were all one happy family.

Remember...Obama didn't get where he is today without the "Powers that Be" and DC Insiders giving him the green light and the okay to the Media to "back down."

Ahh...Thanks to Google I think I have the video titled: Rahm Emmanuel Roast...it's worth a watch if you don't think they are all in sympathy with each other. Axelrod's son is an epileptic so it was a fundraiser for him. A good thing, btw...BUT, just that you know they all interact with each other.
