4. That was the best part. He tried to move on, then everyone started laughing, then he laughed more.
This is our President. Love it!

13. That big, wide open, disarming smile makes all the difference in the world, doesn't it?
Bush used to crack on people but he always looked either mean or petty. President Obama can crack little zingers but then he smiles like that and it's clear to the world that he's just teasing and it takes the sting out of it.

I love having this man as our president!

12. I know something about commerce.....I buy stuff
Sarah Palin should qualify, too!

I love her outfits, and they boost the American economy.........Sarah Palin for Sec of Commerce.

Get her out of national press for four years.

Any other Republicans?

Edited to add:

I just watched the speech at the above link and President Obama's speech really was incredible. It made me realize that Obama, with his great human touch, brought to the fore Lincoln's humanity as well. In doing that he gave me a picture of Lincoln I did not have before. I knew of Lincoln as "the Great Emancipator" which, even that alone made him a great man but Obama spoke about the things Lincoln did and said, outside of the civil war, that makes him an even greater man than I had thought him.

Obama seamlessly wove both the state of the nation during Lincoln's time and the state of the nation today together, using Lincoln's words and his deeds, in a masterful way. Even the insertion of the "commerce secretary" joke was seamless and very funny.

back then. I loved that statement and the cute little chuckle. I love his chuckle.
