-- CNN Poll: Obama -- Strong leadership 80% -- more...
The breakdown of the CNN poll posted yesterday evening. Interesting that they would post it on a Friday evening. Not. Friday is traditionally the day to publish, or announce news you hope will be forgotten by Monday.

The CNN/Opinion Research Corporation survey
Posted: 04:15 PM ET February 13, 2009

Obama is:

*providing strong leadership for the country -- 80%

*handling foreign policy -- 76%

*dealing with the economy -- 72%

*handling policies on terrorism -- 68%

*choosing his Cabinet -- 61%

*overall approval rating -- 76%

45. And Reagan -- highest was 73%
Reagan's approval rating while he served peaked at 73 percent in the spring of 1981, after he was shot and wounded in an assassination attempt, and hit 70 percent in 1986, after he ordered a bombing raid against Libya. It fell to a low of 42 percent in early 1983, following a surge in unemployment, and dropped to 44 percent in early 1987, during the Iran-Contra controversy.

The CNN headline, and first few paragraphs harp on our President's "low" ratings for choosing his Cabinet (61% is low? Egads! The media dogs are so transparent!). The nub of the poll numbers are buried further down in the article.

36. Woo hoo! Go Barack!
Obama is the ultimate chess player. The Republicans are to freaking dumb to know what the next move is, forget about trying to think like Obama, about five moves ahead.

The American people know the jig is up for the GOP. The MSM and pundits have yet to figure it out. As for the Republicans, they will only "get it" once they loose a few more Senate and House seats in 2010.

Sit back, relax and watch. The adults are back in charge...

46. Yes.
Forgot to post the link in the OP, and added it in post #5.

The link is:

http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2009/02/13/poll-trouble-signs-for-obama-picks-over-cabinet/

And like I said in post #5, CNN distorted the poll with this headline: Poll: Trouble signs for Obama over Cabinet picks?

Plus they buried the lead by carrying on about Obama's "low" (61% duh!) ratings for how he has handled his cabinet picks. Finally they posted the poll results stuck in the middle of a wordy paragraph.
