The stimulus bill and the vote for change.
I'm not an economist, so I don't know if this bill will produce the results everyone is hoping for. Heck, even the economists don't know if it'll work. One thing is certain, though. Most economists say that the govt. needs to do SOME sort of spending stimulus bill.

I don't like parts of the stimulus bill, or that parts were taken out, like the school construction. Too many tax cuts, too...I've never seen that tax cuts ever have helped the economy in a downturn. BUT...I voted for change. I was definite that I wanted the country to take a sharp left and go in the opposite direction of where we had been heading.

So when I see that the Pubics are apoplectic over this bill...I think to myself, "well, if the people who brought us into the mess we're in now hate this bill...then that tells me that we're headed in the RIGHT direction!"

How to know what to do? Figure out where the Pubics want to go, and head the opposite direction!

1. The No vote by Repukes was political strategy
that I believe will backfire..After all they are thinking about 2010 and this will be the norm for the Repukes on every piece of legislation that President Obama sends to Congress.I predict however that several Repukes will vote for more bail out funds. Its the banks and Wall St. that fund their campaigns.......If this stimulus bill does nothing else in the short term it will build consumer confidence somewhat and that is a big key to stop this economic spiral......With that said, I still believe that the bank/Wall St. bailout is a swindle and they are manipulating the market as a lobbying tool for more funds.
