7. Joe has come a long way

since that day in Dec '06 that I stood in a gravel parking lot in Podunk, Iowa waiting for his entourage to arrive - in one SUV! He, his brother, and his driver/"body man" were it. My job was to make sure they didn't miss the place, show them where to park, and escort him into the diner for his speech.
