On four separate occasions - in 2005 and 2006 - the Republican Presidential nominee, Senator McCain, and every other Republican Senator except one (former Senator Chafee) voted against legislation to establish a Special Committee on War and Reconstruction Contracting, modeled after the Truman Committee during World War II that saved taxpayers billions of dollars, which would have had full oversight authority to oversee military contracting in Iraq, to uncover and deter waste, fraud and abuse.

Soldiers have been electrocuted in Iraq because of shoddy electrical work.

Iraq for Sale: The War Profiteers is available for free on Comcast on Demand. One guy broke down and cried when he talked about all of the dangerous parasites soldiers are coming home with (that they are unaware of) b/c of a U.S. contractor failing to provide safe water (I think almost all of 60+ sights tested positive for dangerous parasites).

The American Public should be made aware of the ultimate hypocrisy currently being shown by the Republicans in Congress. They permitted the theft of billions and the harming of U.S. soldiers.

On edit: When I hear Judd Gregg talk about having to stick by his principles I ask "what principles?"

1. I agree with you. It's seems that the media is definitely not
interested in reporting on this. They have suddenly decided that they are going to keep Obama and this administration "honest", but the criminals won't be touched.

2. Democrats and outside groups need to fund some hard-hitting ads.
All they have to do is tell the truth. To let the Republicans get away with this hypocrisy is outrageous.

3. Did you see this recent ruling by the USDOJ? 23 million paid over fraud allegations...

Just curious, was there a recent news story that prompted this post?

Republicans trying to rewrite history and the outrage I felt after watching the documentary on the Iraq War profiteering.

Seeing Judd Gregg talk about how he couldn't go against his "principles" was really to much to bear.
