The new GOP meme about Obama "abandoning hope" is the dumbest one yet.
Has anyone else heard the lunatic right complaining that Obama's statements about the economy, particularly with respect to the dire terms he has been using to justify the need for the stimulus? They are howling that he was "all about hope" during the campaign, but is now using fear to govern.

What is wrong with these people?

2. They've got nothing.
Seriously. They don't have any new ideas, they don't know how to deal with someone like Obama, so they complain about stupid, meaningless crap! :P

8. I think it is today's talking point.
Apparently, they are trying to make a big issue over the fact that Obama left town as soon as the bill passed both houses of Congress. As if him being in Chicago precluded him from signing the bill whenever he wanted. . . I hate even having to correct these morons, but I'm betting that the "delay" in signing it had more to do with the time limits in the bill than it had to do with any perceived exaggeration of the crisis.

We need a minority party in this country and it does NOBODY any favors when they are nothing more than ignorant caricatures.

4. They're desperate.
They're trying to hang on to the relevancy they no longer have.

that's a pretty weak one. You know, they'd have to spin 24-7 on the teevee that "God said we have to blah-blah-blah." With the eye-rolling after a campaign like that, we'd all have detached retinas.

6. Obama's ability to generate positive vibes is one of his best strengths and they can't stand it.
It was the same thing will Bill Clinton.
