Santa Clause, whom we all know works as a FedEx delivery man the rest of the year, just rolled up and brought me this....

It has (apprently, haven't gotten that far yet) coverage of Inauguration Day highlights. But it ALSO has "selected speeches." Well, I didn't know what the "selected speeches" were, but I'm pretty happy. They include the 2004 DNC speech, Jefferson/Jackson dinner, Campaign Announcement in Springfield, the Father's Day speech in Chicago, the Speech on Race Relations, the Primary Victory speech (which, aside from the 2004 speech is my favorite) speech to the NAACP convention, the 2008 DNC speech and the election night victory speech.

And that's just the FIRST disc! Cant wait to see what the second one has!

If you have $20 to spare, and dont have it YET, I TOTALLY recommend you get it. I'm gonna make copies of this and hide them away somewhere.

7. What's interesting while watching the 2004 speech....

... was the crowd's reaction to "the hope of John Kerry" (polite applause) and "the hope of John Edwards" (polite applause) and "The hope of a skinny kid, with a funny name, who believes America has a place for him too!!!" (HUGE OVATION!!!!)

Why the outcome of the 2004 and 2008 elections wasn't more obvious to all of us simply based on that reaction is anyone's guess.
